Group 1 Curriculum
- Identify common Hindu dieties and their mythological significance or story
- Identify major Hindu festivals and the significance
- Able to recite several two-line shlokas
- Identify and use several moral values in their daily life age appropriate
- Identify moral values in the stories (Panchatantra, Jataka Tales etc.)
Group 2 Curriculum
- Identify several Hindu dieties and their mythological significance or story
- Beginning to understand symbolism of different aspects of dieties
- Identify major Hindu festivals, how they are celebrated and the significance
- Able to recite longer shlokas and breif meaning
- Identify and use several moral values in their daily life age appropriate
- Identify moral values in the stories (Panchatantra, Jataka Tales etc.) age appropriately
- Identify Indian national leaders and associated celebrations like teachers day, children’s day.
- Familiarize with national songs, Colors of Indian flag and their significance.
Group 3 Curriculum
- Deeper understanding of symbolism & abstraction in Hinduism, concept of “One God”
- Applying values and sybolism to different case studies including self
- Ability to recite long shlokas and understand meaning
- Read epic stories such as Mahabharata, Srimagbhagwat gita and Ramayan and extract values from them.
Group 4 Curriculum
- Deeper understanding of symbolism & abstraction in Hinduism, concept of “One God”
- Hinduism perspective on self-identity, purposeful living, “what is my role is this world and further?”
