The Hindu Temple Society of New Mexico( HTSNM) welcomes your visit to our website. We have held several successful programs this year and continue to celebrate many important festivals and poojas as is customary in Hinduism. In month of September, we have already celebrated Janmashtmi, Ganesh Chaturthi and held Ekadashi and Shravan Maas prayers.

Navrathri, the next major event, is scheduled for 10 days in OCTOBER.  Please plan on attending this auspicious program with your family and friends. An e-mail notice will also be sent to addresses that are available to HTSNM.

The HTSNM Board of Trustees are happy to announce that there will be a full time priest at our temple. This will allow us to keep the temple open for all seven days of the week to allow our community members to visit and offer their prayers. The timings for the temple are 10AM-12PM in the morning and 6-8 pm in the evening on all days.

This is a significant milestone and could not have been accomplished without the active support of the community. The BOTs have worked very hard for the past 18 months to bring the priest to Albuquerque.

The priest’s name is Shri Prakash Pandya and is trained at the Sri Bhagwat Vidhyapeeth Trust in Ahmedabad. His expertise include performing all priestly duties and conducting major events like Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navarathri and Diwali, to name a few.

Shri Prakash Pandya will be available also to perform religious functions at homes with prior authorization from the temple.

The Board requests that members of the Hindu community in New Mexico to please donate generously, not only to meet the Temple’s current operating and maintenance expenses but also to cover the significant cost increase upon the hiring a full time Pujari.

On behalf of the HTSNM board, I sincerely appreciate your continued support.

Sanchita Krishna

President, HTSNM
