About Our Priest
Abhishek Shastri joined HTSNM in November 2021. Hailing from the Ahmedabad District in Gujarat, India, he commenced his Sanskrit education and traditional priestly practice at a very early age – away from home and in a temple environment. Shri Abhishek continued his education and obtained a degree of Shastri (Bachelor’s) in Sanskrit. He then further completed a degree of Acharya (Master’s) in Sanskrit from Sampoornanand Sanskrit University in Varanasi, UP. He then also acquired a degree of Shikshashastri (Bachelor of Education) from Shree Somnath Sanskrit University, Veraval, Gujarat, and Shikshacharya (Master of Education) from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, specializing in education.
Shri Abhishek learned and received knowledge of traditional Hindu rituals (North Indian style) under the guidance of his father, who has immense knowledge of Karmakand and has been practicing it for the last 40 years. Before joining us in 2021, Shri Abhishek Shastri was the Head Priest at Shree Siddheshwar Hanuman Mandir in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, for 8 years. Shri Abhishek possesses versatile knowledge of Hinduism, Sanskrit, Shrimad Bhagat Pravachan, and has performed numerous Satchandi Yagn, Pranpratistha, Laghurudra, Atirudra, Navchandi, marriages, astrological consultations, Vastu Pujan, Namkarn, and Yagna at many different places in India like Badrinath, Haridwar, Mathura, Dwarka, Rishikesh, Somnath, Jaipur, etc. He also has international experience in performing religious ceremonies abroad at places like South Africa and Dubai and his known languages include English, Gujarati, Hindi, and Sanskrit.
