HTSNM wishes you all a very happy Diwali season and may we all stay healthy and prosperous in coming years.
Join the Hindu Temple Society of New Mexico for a series of special poojas and celebrations as we mark the auspicious occasion of Diwali.
We warmly invite you to join us on Saturday, November 2nd at the Hindu Temple Society of New Mexico (HTSNM) for a special Diwali celebration, including Annakut Chappan Bhog and the Gujarati New Year.
Annakut Chappan Bhog is a grand offering of 56 delicacies to the deities, symbolizing abundance and gratitude for divine blessings. This beautiful tradition represents the nurturing power of the divine, providing for all our needs and ensuring a prosperous year ahead. Offering this “mountain of food” is an expression of devotion and a prayer for continued abundance.
The celebration also marks the Gujarati New Year, a time of renewal, prosperity, and new beginnings. As part of this festival, we offer prayers for success and peace in the coming year, while embracing the joy of starting fresh with loved ones and our community.
We invite you to participate in these sacred traditions, seek blessings, and celebrate the New Year with joy and devotion. Let’s come together to share in the spirit of community and gratitude during this auspicious time.
