Shravan Begins — Hindi Calendar

The holy month of Shravan (Sawan) is the most sacred month of the Hindu year, especially revered by devotees of Lord Shiva. During Shravan, devotees observe fasting on Mondays (Shravan Somvar), visit Shiva temples, perform Rudrabhishek, and chant the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra. The entire month is considered highly auspicious for prayers, vrats, and spiritual discipline. HTSNM observes the Shravan Somvar pujas throughout the month with special Rudram chanting and Shiva Puja.

This date is noted on our temple calendar as an observance for devotees’ reference. There is no scheduled program or gathering at the temple for this occasion. Devotees are welcome to make offerings at home or during regular temple hours.
