Kartika Begins — The Most Sacred Month

The month of Kartika (Karthik) is considered the holiest month of the Hindu year, especially beloved by devotees of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. Lighting deepams (oil lamps) every evening, taking early morning holy baths, performing Tulsi puja daily, and observing special vrats are the hallmarks of Kartika observance. It is believed that any act of devotion performed during Kartika — whether lighting a lamp, reciting Vishnu Sahasranama, or feeding the poor — carries a thousand times the normal merit. The entire month leads up to the grand celebration of Kartika Purnima with its Karthigai Deepam lighting.

The specific schedule and program details for this observance are being finalized by our temple committee. Please check back soon or follow our announcements for confirmed timing and details.

All are welcome. Jai Shri!
