Devutthana Ekadashi — Lord Vishnu Awakens
Devutthana Ekadashi, also known as Prabodhini Ekadashi or Dev Uthani Gyaras, marks the day Lord Vishnu awakens from his four-month cosmic sleep (Yoganidra) that began on Devshayani Ekadashi. This is one of the most auspicious Ekadashis of the entire year — the awakening of Lord Vishnu signals the end of Chaturmas and the beginning of the most auspicious season for Hindu marriages, ceremonies, and new beginnings. The Tulsi Vivah ceremony is traditionally performed on or around this day, celebrating the marriage of the Tulsi plant to Lord Shaligram.
This date is noted on our temple calendar as an observance for devotees’ reference. There is no scheduled program or gathering at the temple for this occasion. Devotees are welcome to make offerings at home or during regular temple hours.
