Ashwina Amavasya 2027

Ashwina Amavasya is the new moon day of the Hindu lunar month of Ashwina, a sacred time for ancestral offerings (tarpan and shraddha), lamp offerings (deep daan), and quiet reflection. It is observed as Sarva Pitru Amavasya (Mahalaya), the concluding day of Pitru Paksha, when offerings are made for the peace of all ancestors.

The Amavasya tithi begins at 11:24 PM on September 28 and ends at 8:35 PM on September 29, Albuquerque local time, as calculated by DrikPanchang.

This date is noted on our temple calendar as an observance for devotees’ reference. There is no scheduled program or gathering at the temple for this occasion. Devotees are welcome to make offerings at home or during regular temple hours.
