Ganesh Visarjan — The Farewell of Lord Ganesha
Ganesh Visarjan marks the conclusion of the ten-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival with the ceremonial farewell and immersion of Lord Ganesha’s murti. This poignant and joyful occasion symbolizes Lord Ganesha’s return to his divine abode on Mount Kailash, carrying with him the prayers, sorrows, and obstacles of his devotees. The procession to the Visarjan is filled with music, chanting, and dancing — a celebration of the divine presence that blessed the community throughout the festival. The immersion of the murti in water represents the cycle of creation and dissolution, reminding us of the eternal nature of the Divine.
HTSNM will observe Ganesh Visarjan 2026 with traditional farewell rituals and prayers, bidding a loving farewell to Bappa until next year.
This date is noted on our temple calendar as an observance for devotees’ reference. There is no scheduled program or gathering at the temple for this occasion. Devotees are welcome to make offerings at home or during regular temple hours.
