Mahashivratri Utsav
The Hindu Temple Society of New Mexico warmly invites devotees and community members to observe Mahashivratri, a sacred evening honoring Lord Shiva through prayer, devotion, and reflection.
Mahashivratri is one of the most sacred nights dedicated to Lord Shiva, symbolizing spiritual awakening, inner purification, and the triumph of light over ignorance. Observing Mahashivratri through puja, mantra chanting, and devotion is believed to remove obstacles, strengthen discipline, and deepen one’s connection to divine consciousness. It is a time for reflection, surrender, and renewal, encouraging devotees to cultivate balance, clarity, and compassion in daily life.
