Shattila Ekadashi is an auspicious Ekadashi observed during the Krishna Paksha of the month of Magha and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The name Shattila refers to the ritual use of sesame seeds (til), which symbolize purification, protection, and spiritual merit.

Devotees traditionally observe fasting, engage in prayer and japa, and offer sesame seeds through charity, puja, and sacred acts on this day. Observing Shattila Ekadashi is believed to cleanse past karmas, remove obstacles, and bring peace, prosperity, and spiritual upliftment.
