Durga Ashtami — The Eighth Day of Navratri
Durga Ashtami is the eighth and one of the most powerful days of Navratri, dedicated to Goddess Durga in her fierce and triumphant form. It is on this day that the Goddess is said to have slain the demon Mahishasura after eight days of battle. Special Havan (fire sacrifice), Kanya Puja (worship of young girls as manifestations of the Goddess), and Durga Ashtami Puja are performed. This day is considered the peak of Navratri’s spiritual energy and one of the most auspicious days of the entire year for invoking the Divine Mother’s protection and power.
The specific schedule and program details for this observance are being finalized by our temple committee. Please check back soon or follow our announcements for confirmed timing and details.
All are welcome. Jai Shri!
